I used it to make Toona salad and a Toona melt and loved them both. Quite a treat for me, and much better than the konjac version of frozen vegan sea food.

I have to applaud their efforts to create vegan "tuna" but this just tasted like bits of vegan jerky. I love jerky so that's not necessarily a bad thing but it was also awfully oily and I concur it looked and smelled like cat food. It would be useful as a small part of a larger dish like pasta salad maybe.

I'm a huge fan of Sophie's and have never had a bad bite...until now. I had the sea salt version of the toona and the only thing I could think of was "cat food". I did buy the black pepper version also, and since I can usually trust Sophie's to be awesome, I will still give it a chance. I really hope that this one will be better.

My boyfriend and I both love this. I'm vegan but he eats meat, and this is something we'll have together. I like the texture and flavor, and am a huge fan of Sophie's Kitchen in general.

The sea salt version of this is awful! It had a horrible smell, looked and smelled like cat food. It didn't taste good either; I let vegetarian food stand on its own, I do not compare it to real animal products (haven't eaten animal in over 25 years) but this product is the worst I've had. Don't waste your money.
