So... yeah, we're back from our trip down to LA for the AR2007 Conference. Glad we went down. Heard some good speakers, but more importantly got to meet some inspirational people doing great work like Will Potter, Patrice Jones, Lauren Ornelas, and a pile of others. The conference did it's job and got us all pumped up.

So now it's time to all step things up around here. Gotta get active. Gotta organize. All this wasted potential. Let's all do some brainstorming or something. It's gotta be about more than potlucks and buying donuts and jerky, right? Any ideas? Shoot 'em our way. Would anybody be into helping with a grassroots AR Conference in the NW? Hmmm?

Well It's not like you guys are slacking now, starting/running ff and this blog and hosting potlucks that are more interesting than just about anything the local group does...

But what would you like to accomplish?

Maybe the first steps are opening a line of communication, either starting some informal meetings and or starting up an active veg/AR message board which seems to be lacking in PDX...

I'ld love to help with it. IDA tried to organize something a couple of years ago, but the help in planning/implementing was lacking.
