From what my Dad told me, they taste vomitus as well. He was tricked into eating one when he was much younger and in the Phillipines.

Sick and gross as hell! I actually saw this on a TV program not long ago. This man travels to different countries, and eats all kind of disgusting stuff like this. I don't know how anyone could consider this to be a delicacy, I think it is cruel. Poor little ducks!

When I was in Vietnam in 1998 (my pre-veg days) I remember being served a soup with these eggs in it. I remember being really bothered when they told me the eggs had the baby duck inside...

I do not recall if I ended up eating it or not.

Interestingly, it was that trip where I was served a four course vegetarian meal that I first honestly considered becoming vegetarian.
