PLEASE open one of these in Portland!!!! Someone. Anyone.

see? told you! however I have two requests of this establishment:

1)grill your damn burgers. they taste better that way and add helpful carcinogens to our weak vegan bloodstreams.

2)figure out a way to make the fries better.

This one is a chain flagship. Assuming it does okay they're going to roll out another ten in major cities. Portland, Seattle, S.F., Austin, Madison and a few other cities are on the list.

They have an enviable demographic; vegans, vegetarians, kosher-keepers, hallal-keepers, health-nuts, organic-nuts, etc..

They could really clean up, but their prices seem just a touch too high.

I'm from the Boulder area and I'll be visiting in April. I'm so excited for this! Thanks for posting it on your site!

I will be interesting to see if this fairs better as a chain than Mr. Goodburger.

Prices definitely seem high, for what is supposed to be fast food. $9 for a burger, fries and a drink? That's what you pay for a sit down restaurant meal!

but you have to look at the fact that it is mostly organic, and organic anything is always more expensive. plus i'm willing to pay nine bucks for a "burger" which doesn't come from slaughter houses and is pretty much cruelty free. reasonable (unvegan)people eat fast food very occasionally and i don't mind/i would rather be paying nine bucks occasionly to satisfy a craving, which is made with high quality ingredients, than go to a digusting mcdonalds (which i don't go to anyway).

I totally agree. Nine bucks for a organic/vegan/whole food burger, with baked organic fries(free organic ketchup,mustard,etc..), and a organic soda through flouride filtered water, is a frickin' bargain - they make those burgers by hand! plus the fact that the place has incredible food.
And dont forget they use all biodegradable products, they compost everything, and they are even 100% wind powered!!!! kudos vg burgers!
