Please help spread the word, and save the date, and all that.

So, please help spread the word about the Dec 6th screenings of "Your Mommy Kills Animals." All money raised at these 2 showings will go to the SHAC7 support fund.

Again, this movie is not something we are totally endorsing. There are some things in it we're not really into, but it does do a good job of getting info about the SHAC7 trial out there at least. It's worth it for that if nothing else.

Has anyone seen this? What's the deal? I'm intrigued.

We've seen an advance copy. Some good and bad. Very mixed feelings. PETA and HSUS take some tough shots, but factually justified shots. Good treatment of the SHAC case. Just overall mixed feelings, but we figured we'd take the benefit money offered while it's around. It's a real movie though, pro done, so that's nice.

The web site is ambiguous. Is this about the attack on animal rights activists or is it about the animal rights struggle as it is perceived by industry, activists, government, etc.?

The movie is supposed to be objective, showing both sides. And it is for the most part, there is good and bad shown concerning the AR movement. And almost all bad about the anti-animal side. For example, the HLS beagle punching footage is shown, but nobody from HLS would talk to the movie folk. Also, there is lots of negative stuff about PETA and HSUS and they too, wouldn't speak to the film crew.

I'd say it's more about how the governments recent attacks on the AR movement is silly and heavy handed, undeservably so.

Others have differing opinions of the movie, most more positive than our opinion of it. Just come judge for yourself, and come yell at the director if you don't like it.
