Terror: The real threat is animal rights activists

The two notable things about this article are the photo of the author and the drawing of animal rights protesters. Both of which, are hilarious.

Is it just me or is the link not working?

This link worked for me

Great - another future veterinarian who puts economic interests above those of the animals he's supposed to protect. Not surprising, as the US' major vet group supports factory farming practices, including gestation crates for pigs.

What a fucking tool. I must have missed when AR activists started flying planes into buildings/killing 3000 people (or even one person). But I guess anyone gets to be called a terrorist now - even if one's only activity is holding up a sign outside of a fur store, or posting some words on the internet.

I would like to see the author of that piece crammed into a tiny barren cage for the rest of his life, and painfully experimented on by morons like himself.

What is disturbing to me is the fact that, yes, most Americans do see animal rights activists as a bunch a whack jobs--and understandably so, in many cases. The AR movement is sloppy, unfocused, disjointed and can't decide whether it stands for war or peace, and to me that's kind of sad.

The last comment is ridiculous. "It" (the movement) is not a unified whole. Some people are passifists. Some people are sick of what they see and use other tactics. The only sad thing about the article is the use of the word "terrorism" and how that thought has pervaded the public consciousness. "Whack job" I can live with. "Terrorist" and the subsequent witch hunting that goes along with it I cannot.

It doesn't seem to me that you are an activist, to have made that comment. Your perspective is from outside the movement. I've met a couple horrible, cruel AR activists, so I don't whitewash "the movement" or the people in it, but I don't level a criticism like "sloppy" or "disjointed" at "it" either. No cause is going to have everyone unified in just how to go about struggle, and it would be impossible and perhaps even counterproductive to make it so.

"Iowa was founded upon human and animal symbiosis" WTF? I would like to hear this dumbshit explain how people mistreating and killing animals qualifies as a symbiotic relationship.

And the drawing? I might make that my desktop background to remind me to fit the stereotype of an AR-minded vegan.
