I'm glad that it sounds like the public may actually care about this. I was under the impression that most people didn't care what happens to animals if it's for "medical research." I guess they care only because he got them from shelters - and that's the dividing line between an animal that they see as a "pet" and one "bred" for research.

I could understand eating a cat if I was starving in the jungle and found a dead one..... but lying to shelter workers, offering haven to sweet-natured pets and then torturing and killing them is just fucking twisted and sounds like a god complex to me.
