Found the dog's home.

So, Chris D. went back to the intersection he found her and there was a new flyer saying "Missing. 2 pit bulls. One black and white. One brown and white." We called, and the girl described her collar. Camo colored. Wonder where the other missing dog went because Chris said she was all by herself and no other dog in sight when he found her. So sad. Hopefully someone nice took her in and will see the flyer.

If you're not going to microchip your pet, at least get a tag with a phone number on it! Not so hard to do, right? This is the 8th or 9th lost dog we've taken care of since we moved here. Makes us want to punch people in the stomachs.

We're really sad to see her go, she's so sweet.

Hooray for you guys for being puppie-lovin' heros.

thanks

That's so sad about the other dog. It makes me mad too about the tags/chipping - if you love your pet, this is what you have to do. It's Friday night, people are driving fast. Lots of people won't deal with pitbulls.

If you get an update about the other dog please post.

Yeah. We're actually pretty upset. After talking with the people who came to pick her up, we got even sadder. It was the owner's roommate, and she said that they keep them in the backyard in their dog houses and there's a fence that they keep getting under to get out. She said the other one escapes more, and from what we can guess, the one we found probably goes looking for the other one when she gets out. It pisses us off, that people don't give a shit to fix the problem. If your dog keeps getting out, why don't you fucking stop being such an idiot, and fix where they keep getting out of? Of course another pet owner will never live up to what we as vegans think pet owners should be, but come on. We asked this girl to promise to tell her roommate to get the dog a proper collar and tags. It costs a few bucks. I actually went out and bought the dog a harness today because the collar she had was barely a collar anymore, just a loose scrap of fabric. I didn't want to walk a strong dog like that with barely a collar to hook a leash to. Blah. Almost every time we've found a lost dog and eventually the owner, they've said, "Yeah, she/he keeps getting out." Drives us insane. It's like the best and worst people to find your lost dog is a vegan because we'll take good care of them, and do our best to find their home, but then if we find the owner, you're going to be judged to the fullest extent. Or maybe it's just us. We hate people right now. Gotta go.
love,
emiko
